U.S. Marshal Shoots Robbery Suspect In NoHo

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. A U.S. marshal shot an armed robbery suspect that was running from an AutoZone store in North Hollywood on Tuesday.

The incident took place at 5:45 p.m. near the store in the 5100 block of Vineland Avenue, near Magnolia Boulevard, authorities said.

According to Los Angeles police Officer April Harding, the suspect was holding a large amount of money and a butcher knife, said.

The marshal entered the store as the suspect was running out, Harding said.

The suspect's condition has not been made available, Harding said.

According to local broadcast reports, police are searching for a second suspect.
