1 Killed In Crash On Route 73 In Newport Beach

One person was killed Friday in a crash on Route 73 in Newport Beach.

One person was killed Friday and another was injured when a truck crashed on the 73 in Newport Beach, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 8 a.m. on the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Tollway, near Newport Coast Drive, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The truck hit a guardrail and overturned, CHP Officer Denise Quesada said.
Two of the three northbound lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted, Quesada said.
