LAPD Cop Kills Man In OIS

SOUTH LOS ANGELES Police shot and killed a suspect in South Los Angeles late Friday evening, according to authorities.

The police declined to give further details pending an investigation.

According to Los Angeles police spokesperson Norma Eisenman, police were dispatched to the 1400 block of East 23rd Street on a "shots fired" call at about 11 p.m Friday.

Police reported that the man died to the coroner's office at 5:37 a.m.,
said Coroner's Lt. Richard Hanna.

But he had no further information.
