Cops Probe Shooting Death Of Man, 23, In Riverside

RIVERSIDE Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old man at a USA gas station in Riverside.

The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Police say they were dispatched to the scene just after the shooting was reported at 11:12 p.m. Friday.

According to a Riverside police sergeant, the gas station is located at 3950 Tyler Street, near Magnolia.

It was not clear if the man was shot at the gas station or nearby.

The man was taken to Riverside Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead about a half hour after the shooting, according
to the coroner.
