Cudahy Boy, 13, Killed In Gang Violence

CUDAHY Gamaliel Jaramillo will not live to see his 14th birthday.

The 13-year-old Cudahy boy was shot and killed yesterday afternoon while he and two other males were allegedly tagging a riverbed bike path.

Jaramillo was shot about 1:40 p.m. in the 5300 block of Live Oak Street, said Deputy Derrick Thompson of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

He was declared dead at a hospital.

"Detectives have learned that three males were tagging a riverbed bike path when an unknown male approached and with no provocation began shooting at the victim," sheriff's Deputy Johnie Jones said in a statement.
