ALTADENA
The motorcyclist killed Tuesday in a crash on the Angeles Crest Highway, was a 28-year-old production assistant on the "Judge Judy" television show.
The coroner's office said Wednesday that David Church Deane of Costa Mesa died at the scene of Tuesday's 11:50 a.m. crash in the Angeles National Forest, on Angeles Crest Highway just south of Mount Wilson/Red Box Road.
Deane, who was traveling eastbound, was rounding a curve at a high rate of speed when he apparently crossed a double yellow line and plowed head-on into a 2006 Dodge Ram truck, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The rider was thrown to the side of the road, and his motorcycle ended
up under the truck.
The crew of a county helicopter flying overhead observed the crash, landed and tended to Deane.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
