The Taylor children, one of whom was born just a few weeks ago, are in need of help.
The children's mother, Emily, passed away a few hours after giving birth to her youngest son, leaving behind the four kids and no father. Emily's best friend has taken the children in, to join her six kids and the newborn child she's expecting in just a few months.
The Taylor family is still in need of help, including assistance to pay for a funeral, and their story has galvanized the community of Monrovia. One anonymous resident was so touched by the family's story, they donated a bag of diapers and groceries and left them a check for $500.
Residents are continuing to work together to raise money for the Taylor children. Donations are being accepted at New Beginnings Church in Monrovia, 2870 S. Peck Road, Monrovia, CA.
Friends of the family are also organizing a rummage sale to benefit the Taylor family on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 8 a.m. to noon at Wild Rose Elementary School, 232 Jasmine Ave. in Monrovia. Rummage sale items can also be dropped off with Tina at the school's office, (626) 471-2502.
