Lifeguards Find Missing Swimmer In Malibu

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― A swimmer reported missing today in the waters near Point Dume Community Beach in Malibu was found unhurt on the beach about an hour later, a county fire inspector said.

The swimmer was reported missing at 11:26 a.m., and personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Lifeguard Division began searching for him, said Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Frank Garrido.

He was found uninjured on the beach about 12:20 p.m., Garrido said.

"He was found just there on the beach," Garrido said. "The current took him under and he went sideways."
