Metro Blue Line Train Hits, Kills Woman In Watts

WATTS, Calif. A woman was struck and killed Friday by a southbound Metro Blue Line train in Watts at the Imperial/Wilmington station, authorities said.

Paramedics were sent to 11528 S. Wilmington Ave. at 1:18 p.m., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fatally injured woman, whose name was not immediately released, was in her mid-50s, Scott said.
