A man allegedly tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl while she was walking to school but she managed to run from him, authorities said.

A man allegedly tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl while she was walking to school but she managed to run from him, authorities said.
The attempted kidnapping occurred on 52nd Street at 6:45 a.m. Monday in Maywood, police said.
The suspect was described as a man in his mid-30s, 5-feet-11, and approximately 170 pounds. He allegedly had dark curly hair, brown eyes and acne scars. He has a mole on his right cheek.
