In honor of the victims of the Metrolink crash in Chatsworth, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Saturday ordered that all city flags be lowered to half staff.
"Less than 24 hours after the crash, our number one priority remains
rescuing victims, caring for the injured and connecting with the families still missing their loved ones. Our brave firefighters and police officers will work tirelessly until every person is found," Villaraigosa said in a statement.
The statement concluded: "Today the thoughts and prayers of the people of Los Angeles are with the families who suffered loss last night, and those still waiting for their loved ones to come home."
