Prosecutors have charged a teenage boy with raping a 15-year-old girl found unconscious in a San Fernando Valley park last week.
District attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons says a 15-year-old from Canoga Park was charged Monday with rape by use of drugs, rape of an unconscious person, sodomy of an unconscious victim and sexual penetration of a drugged and unconscious victim with a foreign object.
The charges are felonies.
Gibbons says a second minor, a 16-year-old boy, was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery.
Police say the victim was drinking alcohol with friends at Mason Park in Chatsworth Thursday and left her drink unattended. She was found passed out in the men's bathroom.
Two other girls were found passed out by the picnic tables. They
were not sexually assaulted.
