A Los Angeles hospital that downsized last year amid allegations of shoddy patient care had more than 100 employees with arrest records -- dozens more than previously reported.
The findings about Martin Luther King Jr.-Harbor Hospital were released Monday in an auditor's report to the county Board of Supervisors.
The county-run hospital closed last year to all but outpatient care amid allegations of shoddy care that caused patient deaths.
Los Angeles County officials later found at least 16 workers had criminal histories that went unreported.
The auditor's report says 152 of the 1,600 employees at the hospital in August 2007 had criminal or arrest records.
The report also says the hospital's competency exams are easier and managers allowed staffers to take the exams numerous times until they passed.
