LA Hospital Evacuates 8 Patients Due To Wildfire

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― A hospital closest to the wildfire burning in Los Angeles is evacuating eight patients.

Carla Nino, a spokeswoman for Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in the Sylmar area, says ambulances are transporting the most fragile patients to other hospitals.

Those being moved Monday include six newborns, a heart bypass patient and another "medically fragile" patient. All eight are on ventilators.

The facility has about 180 patients left.
