Man Fatally Shot In Mar Vista
MAR VISTA, Calif.
A man in his 20s was fatally shot in the Mar Vista area early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The shots were reported around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Culver Boulevard, said Sgt. Tim Walters of the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Station.
Officers arriving at the scene discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, he said. There was also a bicycle nearby, though authorities are unsure if the man was riding it at the time of the shooting.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Walters said.
Police do not have a description of the shooter, and are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the LAPD's Pacific Station at (310) 482-6334.
