Aguanga Man Who Tortured Family To Be Sentenced
FRENCH VALLEY, Calif. (AP) ―
Convicted Aguanga polygamist Mansa Musa Muhummed, who tortured some of his 19 children and falsely imprisoning two of his three wives, faces multiple life terms when he's sentenced Friday.
The 55-year-old Riverside County man was convicted last year after several of his children testified that they were starved, beaten and strung up with electrical cord in the basement.
Some of Muhummed's now-grown children were expected to speak out again at Friday morning's sentencing hearing.
District attorney's office spokesman John Hall says Muhummed faced up to
seven life sentences.
During the six-week trial, Muhummed's children testified that they were denied food and forced to eat vomit and feces.
Doctors said the children were extremely malnourished.
A 19-year-old daughter was 4-foot-1 and weighed 56 pounds.
