Police were searching for a gunman Tuesday after a man was shot in the leg during a brazen home-invasion robbery, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at 5:45 a.m. near the 3400 block of Longridge Avenue, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations section.
A man who was living in the home was shot in the leg, authorities said.
The victim told police that a man wearing a ski mask and a black jacket approached him at the rear of the residence and fired a shotgun at him, Richard French, an LAPD spokesman, said.
Investigators were unsure of a motive for the shooting, French said.
