Redlands Man, 61, Killed In 10 Freeway Crash

BANNING Police say a 61-year-old Redlands man was killed on the westbound San Bernardino Freeway Monday morning when his car veered off the road and struck a tree.

The motorist was driving a Honda Element. The crash was reported shortly before 6 a.m. just west of Sunset Avenue in Banning.

Rory Victor Wise died at the scene of the crash, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Blondon.

Wise's 2003 Honda drifted off the right shoulder for unknown reasons, Blondon said.
