Brushfire Prompts Evacuations In Malibu

 1,200-Acre Malibu Fire Threatens Homes, Pepperdine
MALIBU, Calif. (CBS) ― The City of Malibu is advising residents in the following neighborhoods to evacuate:

• Puerco Canyon
• Malibu Colony
• Montenito
• Sweet Water Canyon

Voluntary evacuations are underway in Coral Canyon.


Evacuation centers are being set up in the Zuma Beach parking lot and at Agoura High School. The Time Warner Marriott in Woodland Hills is offering discounted rates to displaced residents. Call Tina Firestone at 818-884-6273.
