Zoo Magnet School Relocated While Fire Burns

Classes To Be Held At East Valley High School

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― The North Hollywood High School Zoo Magnet Center will remain closed Wednesday. Classes will be relocated to East Valley High School until the Griffith Park fire is completely contained, according to school district officials.

Students who regularly ride buses will be picked up at their usual time, and classes will follow the regular schedule, Local District Superintendent Jim Morris said.

The massive wildfire forced the zoo magnet center to be evacuated on Tuesday.

"We want to reassure all parents that the safety of our students is our top priority," Morris said.

More information is available by calling the office of Local District 2 at (818) 755-5300 or East Valley High School at (818) 753-4400.
