Investigation Pending In Fatal Lynwood Shooting

LYNWOOD, Calif. An investigation is under way into the alleged accidental shooting of a Lynwood man on Saturday night.

The shooting took place in the 3900 block of Fernwood Avenue of Lynwood around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, said Deputy Aura Sierra of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

The man was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center, where he was declared dead, said coroner's Lt. John Kades.

According to witnesses that spoke to a video crew at the scene, the man accidentally shot himself in the stomach.
