L.A. Woman, 31, I.D.'d In Fatal Charter Bus Crash

LUDLOW, Calif. A 31-year-old Los Angeles woman was killed and 21 other people injured Saturday when a tour bus from the Los Angeles area overturned near Barstow on its way to Laughlin, Nev.

Faith Creer, 31, was ejected from the bus when it crashed into the dirt median and rolled on its side just before 11 a.m. on Interstate 40.

Creer died at the scene.

The other injured passengers -- including eight with serious injuries -- were taken to area hospitals.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The charter bus, operated by Royal American Tours & Charter of Glendale, picked up the passengers at Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, according to The Los AngelesTimes.

Passengers said they could feel the bus drift just before impact. One passenger told CBS 2 that "we knew we were going to over turn."

Another Ryal American Tours bus caught fire in December 2005 on Interstate 10 as it was heading to Indio, the Press-Enterprise in Riverside
reported.
