Be on the lookout for a maroon-colored van in Long Beach.
One person was killed and three others wounded in two separate shootings in Long Beach several miles and about 30 minutes apart, and police Saturday said in both attacks a maroon van was involved.
One victim was struck in a leg and the other in the abdomen near 14th
Street and Linden Avenue about 2 a.m., said Long Beach police Lt. Rick Colbert.
That victim, whose name has not been released pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Long Beach spokesperson Jackie Bezart.
A half hour later, two more people were wounded -- one in a leg and the other in the gut -- at 57th Street and Lime Avenue, he said.
The names of the other three victims were also withheld.
