Long Beach Freeway Crash Kills 1, Injures 2

The victim died of massive head injuries.

A motorist was killed and two others injured in a traffic collision on the Long Beach (710) Freeway Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place on a northbound lane at about 3:20 a.m., CHP Officer Alex Gonzalez said.
A Rialto man, 25, lost control of his BMW and drove into an embankment. The car flipped several times on the roadway, CHP said.
The driver suffered massive head injuries. He died at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Gonzalez said.
Two passengers, both 22, were injured in the crash. They were both transferred to a hospital with unknown conditions, CHP said.
