Man, 30ish, Beaten To Death, Found In Trash Bag

SUN VALLEY It was a horrible way to die and, to be sure, a horrible way to be found.

The body of a 30-something Latino man who had been beaten to death was found in a trash bag in Sun Valley Saturday, according to police.

It was unclear who reported the find, but officers responded to a "death investigation" call in the 9100 block of Bartee Avenue shortly after midnight, said Los Angeles police spokesperson Norma Eisenman.

The victim was a Latino male who appeared to be in his 30's, she said.

The body was turned over to the coroner's office for an autopsy
