Crews Extinguish 20-Acre Antelope Valley Wildfire

A brush fire scorched at least 20 acres in Antelope Valley and is approaching homes fast, according to a L.A. County dispatcher. (File)

Fire crews have knocked down a brush fire that was threatening homes in Lancaster in the Antelope Valley, 70 miles north of Los Angeles.
A Los Angeles County fire dispatcher says the brush fire erupted around 1:30 p.m. Saturday and has grown to 20 acres.
About 100 firefighters were on the scene. No injuries are reported.
