Fetus Reported Dead In Lancaster Home

LANCASTER Homicide detectives are investigating the death of an fetus inside a Lancaster home, a sheriff's deputy reported Sunday.

The call about the fetus came in at 7:15 a.m. 

The detectives are investigating in the 43700 block of Stanridge Avenue, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Oscar Butao.

Early Sunday, it was reported that homicide detectives were investigating.

By Sunday afternoon, it was unclear if a woman had suffered a miscarriage. That woman was taken to the hospital but investigators would not say if the woman had a miscarriage or if there was foul play involved.

Neighbors told reporters that the woman's due date was imminent.
