LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― Sharon Rocha is living a nightmare every mother fears. Her pregnant daughter, Laci Peterson, went missing and her body found four months later, washing ashore. Her son-in-law, Scott Peterson, was found guilty of his wife and unborn son's murder and sentenced to death in a highly publicized murder trial.

Despite the nightmare, Rocha managed to turn the terrible into something good. Rocha has refocused her life and her purpose by raising money for search and rescue teams.

Rocha speaks exclusively with CBS 2/KCAL 9's Stacey Butler about her new mission in life.
