Authorities Wednesday investigated two separate incidents at LAX, including an accident involving a privately owned jet that was struck by a small service-type vehicle and the removal of a disturbed passenger, an airport official said.
The accident involving the jet occurred about 11 p.m. Tuesday on the south airfield of Los Angeles International Airport, said airport spokesman Albert Rodriguez.
The aircraft was crossing a service road when it was struck by the vehicle, whose driver suffered minor injuries, Rodriguez said.
He said that the National Transportation Safety Board was investigating the accident.
In the other incident, passengers aboard Eva Air flight 15 bound for Taipei, Taiwan, experienced a lengthy delay when the flight's crew "noticed a
female passenger's behavior."
It prompted the aircraft to be taken to a remote gate at 11:55 p.m., Rodriguez said.
Airport police removed the "disturbed passenger and her husband" from the jetliner and she was taken into custody by police but was later was released to her husband, Rodriguez said.
The flight resumed service to Taipei at 1:30 a.m., he said.
