Two women were arrested at Los Angeles International Airport Saturday on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs, an airport police sergeant said.
Police stopped a four-door sedan at the checkpoint on World Way North just before the road splits for arriving and departing flights about 9:30 a.m., searched the vehicle and handcuffed two women, according to witnesses and Airport Police Sgt. Jim Holcomb.
Holcomb, who was reached at home, did not know what kind of drugs were found. The names of the women were withheld pending booking.
A witness said the car was towed away at 10:10 a.m.
