LAX Flight Delays Blamed On Storm
LOS ANGELES (AP) ―
Los Angeles International Airport is reporting flight delays because of a strong storm that is pelting Southern California.
LAX spokesman Marshall Lowe says some arriving flights on Friday evening are being delayed up to an hour and a half because of rain and wind. Lowe couldn't immediately give an exact number.
A spokeswoman at John Wayne Airport in Orange County says no weather-related delays are reported there. She says the rain is fairly light.
A call placed to Bob Hope Airport in Burbank has not been returned.
Flash flood warnings are in effect for most of Los Angeles County.
