Cops Rescue 2 Teens Allegedly Kidnapped
Police Say the 17-Year-Old Boys Were Being Held In A Marina Del Rey Motel Room
MARINA DEL REY
Deputies Friday rescued two 17-year-old boys who were allegedly being
held for ransom in a Marina del Rey motel room, according to authorities.
Police also announced that three adults were taken into custody, a sergeant said.
Gary Lineberry, reporting overhead on Sky 9, said the teens were found duct taped and slightly injured.
Acting on a tip from another agency, deputies knocked on doors at the
seven-unit Jet Inn motel at 4542 Slauson Ave. about 6 a.m. and found two men and a woman in their 20s allegedly holding the teens against their will.
The boys were treated for minor head and hand injuries at a local hospital and then reunited with their families, Sgt. George Ducoulombier said.
The adults, whose names were not immediately released, were booked on suspicion of kidnapping, he said, adding that a handgun was recovered at the scene.
No other details of the case, including where and when the boys were
abducted or the amount of the ransom, were immediately available.
