John Ritter Family Settles Wrongful Death Suit

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― The syndicated television show "Entertainment Tonight" is reporting the family of the late actor John Ritter has reached a settlement agreement in a wrongful death and medical malpractice suit against Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.

The framework of a settlement was reached several weeks ago and there will be a court hearing in Glendale Friday to seal details of the settlement.

Ritter's family filed suit after the "Eight Simple Rules" star's death. Ritter was on the set of the T-V show when he fell ill and was taken across the street to Saint Joseph Medical Center.
