Robbers Fatally Shoot Security Guard At L.A. Bank

A security guard was shot by at least one man fleeing a robbery in the Jefferson Park area.

A security guard was shot Thursday by at least one man fleeing a robbery in the Jefferson Park area, police said.
The guard was shot about 10:10 a.m. near 29th Street and Crenshaw
Avenue, said Officer Kate Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
He hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
Police set up a perimeter and were searching for two young men, Lopez
said.
The shooting happened near a bank, but it was not immediately clear
whether the robbery occurred at the bank or if the security guard worked there.
