The viewing will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Inglewood Park Cemetery, 3801 W. Manchester Blvd., according to a Shaw family spokesperson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at West Angeles Cathedral, 3600 S. Crenshaw Blvd., Carter said.
Shaw, 17, was fatally shot around 8:30 p.m. March 2 in the 2100 block of 5th Avenue.
The investigation into Shaw's death is still underway and no arrests have been made, Los Angeles police Officer Sara Faden said.
The high school running back was named the Southern League's Most Valuable Player in 2007, and he had drawn recruiting interest from Stanford and Rutgers.
Jamiel's mother, Army Sgt. Anita Shaw, was serving in Iraq when her son was slain. She called for community action to stop gang violence.
