'Chronicles' Rules Weekend Box Office
'Iron Man' Has To Settle For Second Place

"The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" movie poster. That poster clearly inspired of lot of movie goers to catch "Chronicles" as it ruled the weekend box office taking in an estimated $56.6 milion.

"Iron Man" had to settle for second place this weekend as early box office reports suggest "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" is this weekend's champ by a wide margin.
"Narnia" took in an estimated $56.6 million nationwide.
"Iron Man" continued its strong run in its third week of release taking in $31.2 million in estimated sales this weekend.
The box office analysis comes from the Encino-based Media By Numbers firm.
Rounding out the top ten were:
-- "What Happens In Vegas," Fox, $13.9 million this weekend, $40.3
million over two weeks.
-- "Speed Racer," Warner Bros., $7.6 million this weekend, $29.8
million over two weeks.
-- "Baby Mama," Universal, $4.6 million this weekend, $47.3 million
over four weeks.
-- "Made of Honor," Sony/Columbia, $4.5 million this weekend, $33.7
million over three weeks.
-- "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," Universal, $2.5 million this weekend,
$55 million over five weeks.
-- "Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay," Warner Bros., $1.8
million this weekend, $33.9 million over four weeks.
-- "The Forbidden Kingdom," Lionsgate, $1 million this weekend, $50.3
million over five weeks.
-- "The Visitor," Overture, $687,000 this weekend, $3.4 million over
seven weeks.
