Police Suspect Road-Rage In Fatal Corona Shooting

CORONA, Calif. (AP) ― Police say road-rage may have led to a fatal shooting near a freeway in Corona.

Police found the victim, 35-year-old Ignacio Duarte, in his Jeep, which slammed into the side of a motel near State Route 91 early Tuesday morning.

Investigators believe Duarte and another vehicle were involved in a road-rage incident. When Duarte exited the freeway, police say the suspect followed in a black Ford Expedition with chrome rims.

Police say the suspect fired at Duarte and fled.

Duarte, a father of three children, died at the scene.
