A car crashed into a fire hydrant on Mulholland Drive Thusday, which caused a geyser of water to shoot into some electrical lines, a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokeswoman said.
LADWP workers responded to the scene and shut the hydrant off.
The accident in the 16500 block of Mulholland Drive, near the Sepulveda Boulevard tunnel, occurred shortly before 10 a.m., she said.
It was unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
