1 Killed, 1 Injured When Car Strikes Big-Rig

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. A man was fatally injured when he was ejected from the car he was riding after striking a big-rig in Huntington Beach on Sunday night.

The crash took place around 10:30 p.m. on Beach Boulevard, north of Garfield Avenue, according to said Lt. Irwin Feuerstein of the Huntington Beach Police Department.

The front passenger in a Honda sedan was thrown from the car when it rear-ended a parked big-rig, Feuerstein said.

The passenger, a man in his 20s, died at the scene, he said.

The Honda's driver was taken to UCI Medical Center with unknown injuries, he said.
