Human Bones Found In Suitcase In Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (AP) ― Authorities are investigating what appear to be human bones found in a suitcase near train tracks in Oceanside.

Police say a railroad employee found the suitcase shortly before noon Thursday.

A San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office investigator examined the remains and determined that they appear to be human.

The investigator says the age of the bones and how long they've been in the location is not known. He also says there is no indication that the remains are linked to any unsolved deaths in the area.
