A housekeeper has been cleared in the death of a 90-year-old woman whose body was found inside a burned home in Altadena.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says the woman was arrested around 1 a.m. Friday for investigation of murdering her employer, Evelyn Oletha Mosley.
But a deputy says extensive questioning led to the woman's exoneration and she was freed after about 13 hours.
No other details were released.
Mosley's body was discovered Thursday by firefighters responding to a blaze at her home in the foothills northeast of Los Angeles.
Authorities say she was found in a pool of blood in her kitchen after the fire was doused.
She had injuries unrelated to the fire and the case is being investigated as a homicide.
