Hazmat Team Called To Disneyland Hotel
ANAHEIM
A reaction of chemicals in a basement laundry in one of three towers at the Disneyland Hotel Monday drew Anaheim Fire Department hazmat crews to ventilate the area.
The hazmat team was called at 4:15 p.m. to the Wonder Tower at 1150 Magic Way, Disney Resort spokeswoman Suzie Brown said.
Two chemicals mixed together caused a reaction that produced a chlorine smell, Brown said.
A security guard complained of dizziness but refused transportation to a hospital, Brown said.
Workers in the area were evacuated and the facility was ventilated, Brown said.
There were no evacuations of hotel guests, but a perimeter that guests were diverted from was set up, Brown said.
