Trolley Bus Crashes At The Grove Injuring Riders

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― An investigation is underway to find out why a double-decker trolley failed to stop at a Los Angeles shopping center last night, injuring several riders.

Authorities said the slow-moving trolley was approaching the end of its track at The Grove when it struck a set of large planter pots.

A 50-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Five children were treated at the scene.

Witnesses said the impact was minor and the trolley did not derail.
