Saturday's 10th annual Los Angeles Arbor Day Festival in Griffith Park has been cancelled because of Tuesday's brush fire, according to the Department of Parks and Recreation.
The festival was to include tree climbing and care demonstrations, music, performance artists, a traveling tide pool, tree planting and composting workshops, a mulch giveaway, petting zoo and face painting.
The festival would have been held in conjunction with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's Million Trees L.A. Initiative.
