Great White Shark Moved From Malibu To Monterey

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) ― A great white shark that was kept in a floating pen for three weeks off Malibu is said to be "swimming and breathing normally" at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

The 4-foot-9-inch shark was moved this morning from its pen to the pier where divers placed him on a stretcher-like device. The shark was then moved to a giant salt-water tank that was hooked to a truck on the side of Pacific Coast Highway for the trip to Monterey.

An aquarium spokesman says the shark arrived at the aquarium at 5:15 p.m. and is doing well.

The aquarium says the shark was accidentally netted by a sea bass fisherman off Ventura earlier this month.
