Arcadia police are on the hunt for the so-called Goldilocks Bandit, suspected in two recent armed bank robberies.
The suspect so named for the blond wig he wears during the holdups struck on Aug. 8 at a Bank of the West branch, 1155 W. Huntington Drive at about 10 a.m., Arcadia Police Sgt. Dean Caputo said. He also held up a Wachovia Bank branch, 1200 S. Baldwin Ave., on July 18 at 11:20 a.m.
In both heists, the robber was armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun and drove off in a red, older-model four-door Chevrolet.
No one was injured in either robbery.
The bandit was described as white, in his early 40s and about 6 feet tall, with brown hair and eyes. He wore a blue baseball cap, a plain gray T-shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the suspect's identity or whereabouts can call detectives at (626) 574-5165.
