Landmark Strip Club Burns In West Hollywood

The Body Shop bills itself as longest running strip club in Los Angeles.

A fire Thursday burned through the roof of The Body Shop, a landmark West Hollywood strip club mentioned in the Motley Crue hit, "Girls, Girls, Girls."
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries, according to county fire Inspector Sam Padilla.
The fire was reported around 6:45 a.m. at the one-story club on the Sunset Strip. Chopper 2 was overhead as flames flared through the roof.
No one was believed to have been in the building at the time, Los Angeles County fire Inspector Frank Garrido said.
Sunset Boulevard was closed off as fire engines and trucks arrived. Streams of water were poured onto the building.
It took about an hour to douse the fire, which was mainly confined to the attic, Garrido said. One firefighter suffered a minor injury.
There was no immediate damage estimate.
The Body Shop, which has been in operation since the 1960s and bills itself as the longest running strip club in Los Angeles.
