Gas Prices Jump 16 Cents Across The U.S.

CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) ― The national average price for gasoline jumped about 16 cents over the last two weeks.

The Lundberg survey of 7,000 gas stations found the average price of regular gasoline on Friday was $2.96 a gallon.

Premium was selling for an average of $3.19.

The nation's lowest price was in Newark, New Jersey, where a gallon of regular cost $2.73.

The highest was in San Francisco, at $3.28.
