A gang crackdown in Oxnard has netted 31 arrests -- 10 of them juveniles.
Twenty-eight males and three females -- ten of them juveniles -- have been detained in a multi-agency anti-gang crackdown in Oxnard.
Oxnard police Commander Robert Cox said Thursday's sweep involving 140 officers from eight local law enforcement agencies also netted a shotgun, three pistols, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
Police spokesman David Keith said the sweep was prompted in part by the July 30 fatal shooting of Gloria Guerra.
Authorities said no arrests have been made in the slaying of the22-year old, who had no criminal history or gang ties.
