Forklift Tips Over Killing Anaheim Man
ANAHEIM (CBS) ―
A forklift at a construction site in Anaheim tipped over Thursday, fatally injuring a 34-year-old worker who was standing near the equipment. The worker was taken to UCI Medical Center where he died of blunt force trauma injuries, an Anaheim Fire Department official said.
The forklift, also referred to as reach lift, was in operation at a construction site on Katella Avenue, west of State College Boulevard, when the accident occurred about 11 a.m., said Maria Sabol of the Anaheim Fire Department.
The injured man, who was not the operator, apparently was standing near the equipment in the area of the bucket when the forklift tipped, she said.
